I have now uploaded a new banner. It is JRock on the pond, he’s the pasty white kid, in the canoe, who is supposed to stay out of the sun, or he becomes the lobster in the pond.
The pond is approximately 30 ft by 100ft and 30 ft deep in the center. I don’t think it takes him more than one or two pushes to actually go end to end, but he enjoys it.
What to do? What to do?
Wonder how bad I would mess up my web page if I worked on it at 1:00am??? I’ll let you know.
Did you make it through the whole night? What are these crazy new tests meant to expose? Are you going on a secret mission into outer space or something?
I made it until 1am, when I fell asleep for two hours and then again around 5am, when I dozed off again. It was probably enough. I have had an odd brain wave pattern in my left temporal lobe, yet no history of epilepsy in the family and, did you ever go to a neurologist????
They are the first to tell you that they know next to nothing about the brain. So, I have had two different diagnoses and two periods where I had no symptoms. The symptoms are back so they did another EEG, which is what I was trying to stay awake for, so it would be sleep deprived, and an MRI on my brain.
Frankly, I am rather enjoying seeing purple doors hanging in mid-air. It really doesn’t happen that often. I do not like the occasional chrome taste in my mouth however. But, I really like the idea of a secret mission. I think I’m going with that one.
No, I’ve never been to a neurologist. I’ve been frighteningly healthy all my life (knock wood) no meds, no surgery, nothing broken, never staying in a hospital (including childbirth – had her at home). So, you see purple doors? Maybe you have some form of synesthesia? That probably wouldn’t show up on an MRI. Have you looked into that possibility? It’s more fun than a secret mission even — secret missions sound like a lot of work when you get right down to it.
Healthy? What’s that? My DNA reads like a drug company study and I seem to have inherited the worse from both sides of the family. Thank goodness for modern medicine.
I will have to look synesthesia up. I haven’t heard of it.
It’s very interesting. I’d love to write a book some day with a character who has it. In some cases it’s almost a form of clairvoyance. In others it’s just a different way of processing information. Some of the stuff you mention is going on with you sounds like it could possibly be some kind of synethesia. Let me know when you’ve had a chance to read up on it what you think.
I had not heard about this before and there is some similarities. For years, I had people say to me, “I don’t see all those colors in a face. How do you do that?” They were talking about the portraits I paint, but I do see those colors projected onto the face. I presumed they were reflections. I never thought about it. I just saw it. I have a chrome taste occasionally, but have never thought that something external may be causing it.
I have been on Hydrocodone twice in the last couple of years, after surgery once and after hurting my back and I see black and white movies projected on the wall, with it. Kind of like cartoons, but I can watch them for some time. I also see floating clouds of black rectangles, at night. A bit frightening at times and I have tried to reach out and touch them, they are so real. But, then again, that’s medication.
The mind is truly amazing.
